Rev. Jim Peich
BIOGRAPHY
In 2023, Rev. Jim Peich, MDiv, became the Lead Pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in O’Fallon, Missouri.
The more than 200-year-old congregation is located in suburban St. Charles County and has nearly 300 members. It is a growing multi-generational community of faith where all are welcome and loved.
Pastor Jim is an ordained Elder in the Missouri Conference of The United Methodist Church. He is passionate about helping people of all backgrounds take next steps on their faith journeys, as well as connecting with persons who do not currently belong to a faith community.
Pastor Jim also has a heart for building teams and equipping others to discover and live into their God-given calling. He believes that we are called to CHOOSE LOVE in the ways we treat others.
Background
Jim grew up in southern Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Political Science.
After moving to Manchester, Missouri in early 2000, Jim met and fell in love with his wife, Karen. They were married at Manchester United Methodist Church in the fall of 2004.
After relocating to O’Fallon, Missouri, Jim became the Pastor of Faith Formation in 2013 at a large church in St. Charles County.
In 2017, Rev. Peich was appointed as Executive Pastor to Manchester UMC in West St. Louis County.
Pastor Jim holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Non-profit Administration at Dakota Wesleyan University.
Pastor Jim has served in various roles within the Missouri Conference of The United Methodist Church, including current terms on the Sessions Team and as the Finance Chair of the Northeast District Mission Council.
Before becoming a pastor, Jim enjoyed a rewarding career in marketing, communications, and banking at Edward Jones. He has also had the honor of serving as an elected Alderman in the City of Manchester.
Personal Life
Jim and Karen are parents to teenagers Lucas and Samantha. They also had the joy of parenting their son, Christian, for 12-weeks before he passed in 2007 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
In addition to spending time with family, Jim enjoys travelling, nature, music, theater, computers, photography, grilling and his goldendoodle, Millie.
